Happy Labor Day, Oregon!

As a Representative, my job is to help make life better for the people I'm honored to represent. And I know that when workers thrive, communities and the economy thrive. We have unions to thank for that! I'm going to continue to work with partners in the labor movement to deliver for the American people. Here are a few of my priorities for workers and their families:

• Fair wages and good benefits
• Safe working conditions
• Paid family and sick leave
• Workforce development and training opportunities
• The right to bargain collectively and organize fellow workers
• Affordable child care
• And retirement security so that older Americans can live their lives with dignity

Today we celebrate the resiliency of our workforce and the strength of the American labor movement. Good-paying union jobs and organized workers contribute to Oregon's prosperity and help make our state a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
