Happy Labor Day weekend, team!

This holiday recognizes the strength and resiliency of America’s workers – people like my grandmother.

She was a union leader for a ball-bearing plant back in the day – not a typical job for a woman, especially a woman of color. That’s her in the middle.

As Delaware’s Labor Secretary, I enforced policies providing job growth and fair wages to the state. Now, in Congress, I’ve established the Bipartisan Future of Work Caucus and Co-Chair the New Democrat Coalition’s Future of Work Task Force to help prepare America’s workers to enter an ever-changing market.

My commitment to our nation’s workforce is why I like to say: “You can’t spell L-A-B-O-R without LBR!”
