Happy Labor Day, team!

The Labor Day holiday commemorates the hard-won rights fought for by the trailblazers of the labor movement, like a five-day work week, eight-hour work days, safety mandates, a minimum wage, vacation time, and more.

While none of this would have been possible without the labor movement, we know the work is still not done. I’m confident that with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s leadership, we can keep up the fight, but first we need to get them in the White House.

We must continue to demand equal pay for equal work. We must continue to stand by workplace protections for our LGBTQ+ neighbors. We must continue to fight for a living wage. And we must continue to protect workers’ right to organize.

I stand by working Americans in their fight for safety and fairness. That’s why I’m in Congress, and that’s why I support the Harris/Walz ticket. If we win in November, we can build on real, positive changes in the life of the American worker.

So, team, let us take today to show our gratitude for the courageous efforts of the labor movement, while pledging to never stop the fight for better working conditions for all.
