Happy Labor Day!

Today, we celebrate the labor movement, and I want to take the time to recognize the contributions of all of the hardworking people right here in OH-13 that are the backbone of this community and economy.

We have come so far in the fight for workers rights. From establishing the 8-hour workday, to raising wages, and improving health and safety standards, unions have played a critical role in building the middle class. But there is more work to do—including passing the Protecting the Right to Organize, or PRO, Act.

I know that unions built the strongest middle class our community and nation has ever seen. It’s why every day in Congress, I have been a strong voice in the fight for workers’ rights and have always advocated for higher wages, better benefits, protecting our unions and the right to organize, and safer working conditions.

I am proud to stand in solidarity with our working class families, and I am running for re-election so I can continue to do so, but I need your support. Can you please chip in $5 or whatever you can today, so I can bring home a win for all of Northeast Ohio? [link removed]

As we enjoy the long weekend with our friends and family, don’t forget to thank a union member and recognize the hardworking individuals who built our middle class.

Happy Labor Day,
