Space War | Sigma Defense Opens New Production Facility in Perry, Georgia
"Sigma Defense Systems, a prominent name in defense technology, has officially opened its advanced production facility in Perry, Georgia. This modern 13,400 square-foot plant is set to become the central hub for Sigma Defense's operations, focusing on developing and deploying both hardware and software solutions aimed at supporting the Department of Defense's Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) programs. The new facility is expected to create more than 30 specialized technical jobs in the area within the next year, contributing to the local economy.
The inauguration ceremony took place on August 27th, 2024, with Sigma Defense Systems executives, employees, and several distinguished guests in attendance. Notable attendees included Congressman Austin Scott from Georgia's 8th Congressional District, Congressman Sanford Bishop from Georgia's 2nd Congressional District, State Representative Shaw Blackmon from Georgia's 146th District, Shavonda Hill, Outreach Director for Senator Raphael Warnock's office, Shibani Chakrabarty, Outreach Director for Senator Jon Ossoff's office, and Brigadier General John Kubinec, Commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex at Robins Air Force Base."
