The Labor Movement is my political home. It's where I learned to organize, communicate with people, and win for working people. I took that movement with me to the State Senate, and as your Labor Chair, we have made tremendous progress.
I want to raise the standards for all workers to make it easier to organize, save for a rainy day, and live a full and dignified life. To do that, we have:
- Raised and indexed the minimum wage
- Granted historic new labor protections to farm workers and domestic workers
- Expanded prevailing wage for construction and climate work
- Set new safety standards across sectors
- Banned captive audience meetings
And we're not done yet.
