Team – Happy Labor Day!

Today, I want to share with you a little bit about what Labor Day means to me.

As Oakland County’s Congresswoman, I’ve always worked to ensure workers and unions are supported here in MI-11. Workers are the backbone of this country, and when workers are better off, we’re all better off.

For years, labor movements have fought for fair wages and better working conditions. And while we’ve come a long way from the labor battles we saw a century ago, still too many of our workers aren’t receiving the wages and benefits they deserve.

Just a few weeks ago I joined the SEIU on the Unions for All Summer tour. I will always stand up for the workers who make our country and economy function.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, but I know there’s still so much more we can do to support American unions and workers.

I hope today you not only enjoy the day off, but also recognize the value of America’s workers, both past and present.

Thank you,

Haley Stevens
