Dear Reader,
Happy 130th anniversary of Labor Day, which became a national holiday in 1894 under President Cleveland. We use this day to acknowledge the sacrifices made by workers during the Industrial Revolution, and the impact they made by fighting for better working conditions still benefiting today’s workforce.
For many of us, today is a holiday we get to spend with family and friends, and celebrate the hard won securities of safety and fairness in the workplace. With this in mind, today I want to acknowledge the incredible team at OpenSecrets, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create the valuable free resources and high-quality reporting available on our website—all in the pursuit of strengthening democracy for all.
Best regards,
