Happy Labor Day, JOHN!

As you enjoy this holiday weekend, take a moment to reflect on why we celebrate.

Today is a celebration of the hard-won achievements of the labor movement. From establishing a minimum wage and the 40-hour work week to ending child labor, the labor movement has fought for a better future for all of us.

We’ve come a long way since the beginning of our country’s labor movement, but there is still work to be done. While in Congress, I have been proud to work to cut costs for working people and will always stand up for workers. The working class is the backbone of not only Rhode Island but the entire country, and we must always fight to protect them.
