We’d love to tell you our story. Our team of co-founders and statewide network of thousands of volunteers have been fighting for Arizona’s public schools for the past 7 years. In that time, we’ve accomplished so much — but we still have a long way to go!
Save Our Schools Arizona was founded in 2017 to challenge a universal voucher law (pushed through by out-of-state special interests and billionaires) that threatened to divert hundreds of millions of dollars from public schools to private schools. We mobilized Arizona voters to defeat Prop 305 in every single county, but, unfortunately, that was only the beginning.
In 2022, Governor Ducey and the Arizona Legislature pushed through another universal ESA voucher expansion, disregarding the will of Arizona voters in favor of dark-money special interests like Betsy DeVos and Charlie Kirk. |
