To the workers,
The ones working inside and outside of the home,
Those laboring for freedom and those laboring for survival,
Those working 9 to 5, 7 to 7, and everything in between,
To the blue collars and the white collars, the skilled and unskilled,
Those working to keep their dreams and the dreams of others alive;
To the union reps, shop stewards, labor organizers, and rank and file,
To those unable to unionize,
You make the world go round.
Here's to a future where we all have work that preserves our dignity and humanity, with wages that allow us and our families to thrive.
