Dear Friend,

As our lives have been turned upside down by the coronavirus,

one thing that hasn’t changed is that we still have vulnerable animals in our care . I’m Kristen, and I oversee Rehabilitation Services at the ASPCA, which includes the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center—a facility dedicated to helping fearful animals heal and recover from traumatic pasts and find loving homes. And right now, we are committed to providing them with the same level of care throughout and after this pandemic.

These animals don’t know about COVID-19. That’s not why they’re fearful. They are fearful because of the pain and suffering they have endured. Because they were neglected, abused, unloved. But together, we can still provide them with second chances.

Even when the odds seem against us. Our commitment to ensuring a better future for these animals is what’s driving us forward.

I heard that we are really close to meeting our Membership Month goal of 1,500 Guardians! YOU can get us across the finish line! Your Guardian membership will help us continue our lifesaving work, which impacts so many at-risk animals each year.

In addition to helping pet owners and animal welfare groups nationwide through our coronavirus relief and recovery efforts, we’ve been working on big plans to expand our behavioral rehabilitation work in the coming months and years. Plans that will lead to better lives for animals nationwide and allow more animals to get their second chances.

But today I want to remind you of the work that hasn’t stopped for the animals who are in our care. We are teaching them to trust, and they are learning that people will be there for them—no matter what.

Thanks for sticking with us in support of all our lifesaving work, and for becoming an ASPCA Guardian today.

Sincerely,

Kristen Collins

P.S. Your support means so much right now. Thank you for giving what you can.
