Rally friends and family to join the movement for immigrant justice!

Dear John,

This Labor Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the stories that shape our nation. Did you know that immigrants make up nearly 20 percent of the U.S. workforce? Their contributions are woven into every industry and community across America.

But while it’s important to recognize the economic value immigrants create, immigrants are so much more than workers. They’re people first, with stories to tell.

Too often, these stories are drowned out by intentionally divisive talk, especially during election seasons. Now more than ever, we must speak up, convey the valuable contributions of immigrants to our society and, importantly, encourage public support for the policies our communities need to thrive.

Your continued support is how we spread this message.

At The Opportunity Agenda, we’re teaming up with immigration advocates and local organizers to amplify pro-immigrant stories that celebrate the dignity and contributions of all people. And you can also be a part of this crucial work.

Download our “Five Tips for Talking About Immigrant Justice to learn how you can shift the conversation in your circles—rallying friends and family to join the movement for immigrant justice.

Looking for more ways to engage? Check out the amazing “NY Proud” public art project, put together by The Opportunity Agenda, New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), and F.Y. Eye, launching today across subway platforms and bus transit signs in New York City. The project showcases the multifaceted lives of local immigrants and how they enrich the city through art, culture, science, and more.

Let’s use this Labor Day to celebrate the contributions of immigrants as people – people with dreams, talents, and stories that enrich us all.

Thank you for standing with us.
