Hey John, it’s Chris here. I wanted to take a moment to wish you a happy Labor Day—and to tell you a little bit more about what this day is all about.

Labor Day is full of parades and parties across America today to honor and celebrate workers and unions—none bigger than in Western PA.

Western Pennsylvania is union country. We are the people who made the steel that built America. We built our roads and bridges, we power our railways, we care for our young and our sick, we repair the power lines that light up our neighborhoods—and so much more.

Western PA is no stranger to hard work and the union way of life. And those unions—and the workers who ARE the union—have made our country a better place.

I’m proud today and every day to have fought alongside other workers to form a union. I’m proud to be the labor candidate who will always defend the rights and jobs of our workers.

On this Labor Day, and every day, I'm proud to stand with the American labor movement, and I’ll keep fighting every single day for the union way of life in Western PA.
