Six years ago, with your help, I pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Alaska history, bringing common sense back to State Senate by defeating the anti-abortion, climate change denying President of the Senate. Four years later, I helped form a bipartisan Senate majority where nine Democrats and eight Republicans set aside party differences and work together for all Alaskans. Far-right Republicans are desperate to break apart the bipartisan Senate and they recruited and bankrolled my opponent to bring back politics as usual. But with your help, we’re not going back!
However, preservation of bipartisanship is in jeopardy. My opponent will not be part of a coalition and has a fundraising lead from wealthy out of state donors. The Fairbanks Daily Newsminer, August 12, 2024 article by Carter DeJong speaks to what we are up against:
"...Republican Leslie Hajdukovich, has raised more than her opponent and the four District R candidates combined, with a significant portion of those funds coming from outside"..."She has been raking in cash from business executives living outside of Alaska."
