John, this is unbelieveable.

The NY Board of Elections just announced that it will remove Sen. Bernie Sanders from the primary election ballot, officially canceling our state's presidential primary.

Progressive candidates like Jamaal will be hit the hardest by this decision. Without Sen. Sanders on the ballot, turnout will be dimmed. This leaves small, progressive campaigns like ours on our own when it comes to getting people to the polls — so we need to pivot our strategy, again.

We need to raise $25,000 by midnight tonight to make sure we can turn out enough voters to keep our primary competitive. We’ve made a lot of progress toward that goal, but we’re only 80% of the way there.

Please rush a $5, $10, or even $27 contribution to our campaign so we can reach as many voters as we can before our primary on June 23. Your contribution will go towards hitting our crucial $25,000 goal, and towards expanded voter outreach.

As Jamaal's campaign manager, John, I'm pretty concerned about what this news means for us. But I also know that the stakes are too high to just give up.

For 30 years, Eliot Engel has failed to produce results for New York, voting in favor of war and Wall Street, instead of our community and families.

We need someone like Jamaal who will represent us and fight for big solutions to match the gravity of our problems.
