August was a busy month for our team. We officially kicked off the general election — and promptly faced a barrage of attacks from National Republicans. I know we emailed you (a lot) asking for your help. And you didn’t let us down — because of supporters like you, we were able to meet our fundraising goal for August.
In a battleground race like this, hitting those benchmarks is so, so important for putting our campaign in a position to win. You really came through when it mattered.
I never take for granted what a privilege it is to serve the people of Kansas in Congress. And it’s only possible because of the trust and support people like you have shown me — through the three extremely competitive elections that we won, and today as we work so hard to win a fourth.
I won’t lie — with two more months until the general election, we have a lot of hard work ahead of us. But I have faith in this powerful grassroots coalition. I have faith that we will work hard to defend the right to choose, protect our planet, and fend off the corporate interests that are trying to swing this race. And most importantly, I have faith that we will win this election.
