Hey, friend, it's Rachel, Sherrod's campaign manager. I really wish I was reaching out with better news, but unfortunately, we fell $62,015 short of our August fundraising goal.

The timing honestly couldn't be worse. Our race in Ohio is tied, and it recently became the most expensive in the country, with more being spent on TV ads here than in any other Senate race. Pulling back now would be devastating for our campaign.

Our one saving grace right now is the holiday weekend. Things really kick into high gear after Labor Day, so if we can make up the gap by midnight tonight, we'll be able to turn things around.

That's why I'm personally asking: Will you chip in $5 or more right now to help us get back on track to win here in Ohio and keep the Senate blue?
