Friend,
Remember the Newsweek article from
August that showed a Jill Stein ballot access map that was so
WRONG (see above)? Well, they haven't fully corrected it -
states like Idaho, where we turned in signatures months ago, are still
left off. And in the last week Jill and Butch have had the good news
that they will be on in Georgia, Massachusetts, Alabama,
Connecticut, and Virginia.
That brings the total of confirmed ballot access lines to 38
states, we are still petitioning in Kentucky and Rhode Island, and we
have write-in status in 8 states.
This means the Stein/Ware ticket is expected to have 517 potential electoral votes,
nearly double the required 270 potential electoral votes to send Jill
and Butch to the White House.
But as of sending this email we are just $3,000
short of what we need to pay our ballot access bills,
and barring any other legal challenges from the anti-democratic party,
this could be our final ask for supporters
like you to pitch in for ballot access.
If everyone pitches in today, we will raise enough to reach
our goal and make Newsweek's map even more outdated. Friend, let's
start out September strong and close out the fight for ballot access
by closing the gap in the thermometer now!
