When you’re on the sand and dusty battlefields of Afghanistan, your whole perspective changes.

You can barely see a few inches in front of you.

You have to rely on your other senses and your intuition.

And most of all, you have to rely on faith. Serving as a U.S. Navy Special Operations Officer in some of the most dangerous war zones in the world taught me a lot.

But most importantly, it taught me how grateful I am to be in America.

I’ve served all over the world, and let me tell you: if America falls, there is NOWHERE else to go like it.

That’s why when I saw the path Joe Biden was leading our country down, I knew I couldn’t sit on the sidelines.

My name is Hung Cao. I’m a retired U.S. Navy Captain and combat veteran, a LEGAL immigrant, a husband and father of five, an unapologetic Christian and a conservative.

I’m running for U.S. Senate in Virginia because I LOVE America, and I won’t let the country that gave me everything fall to the wayside.

We need to secure our border, stop out-of-control spending, and start treating criminals like criminals again.

But most of all, we need to restore faith in our country for the next generation. Look, as a combat guy, I don’t like to ask for help, but this mission won't be easy and I can't do it alone.
