To my supporters,
Some of you may have learned through the news that it appears Max Miller and his wife of two years, Emily Moreno, are headed toward a divorce. To use this news as a character assassination against my opponent would be in poor form if he didn’t already have a history of allegedly mistreating women. And that’s why I write – we must question the character of my opponent because his track record speaks volumes.
My partner, Sarah, is a medical doctor and personally knows survivors of domestic violence. When she heard the news, her first thought was that she was relieved Emily would be out of that situation because it was only a matter of time before Max mistreated her like he allegedly did to his prior partners. The second thing she said was that we must keep people like Max Miller out of Congress— and men who disrespect, abuse, and mistreat women.
Let me be clear—we’re talking about Max’s mistakes and character, not about Emily Moreno or their marriage. We’re talking about Max Miller’s history of violence. We’re also talking about trusting and believing women. Women’s rights are on the line in the United States, and we need leaders who will fight for women, with women. Max Miller is not the one who will fight for women. I am.
Here’s the bottom line: Yes, our district is gerrymandered, and yes, we must fight to let our voices be heard. But we have an opportunity to reach women on both sides of the aisle—those who know that a guy like Max Miller needs to stay out of the halls of Congress. We need to let women know that the longer he stays there, the more damage he’ll do—it’s just a matter of time. We want women to see that they can have their voices represented in Congress and cast their vote for someone who has consistently fought for women, with women.
I need your support. Pitch in today, and please spread the word. Let’s do this.
