Our nation is in deep trouble—and it would be even without this pandemic! Trump and the corporate Right have spent three and a half years systematically dismantling our democracy, extracting windfalls for the wealthy, and destroying our environment.
With only a few short months to what is surely the most important election in our lifetimes, CMD continues to deliver the cutting-edge investigations that you have come to expect and rely upon—including exposés just this past week around how tech groups enable white nationalists and neo-Nazis to raise money online; the Koch-backed groups behind gun-toting open-the-economy protests across the country; and ALEC’s anti-labor wish list.
But friends, the economic crash from the COVID-19 crisis has put CMD’s funding in jeopardy like so many other nonprofits and small businesses. CMD relies 100% on charitable grants and donations—plain and simple. With all the uncertainty out there now, CMD is being forced to take a hard look at its staffing needs while doing everything we can to keep our entire team intact and in place. We owe it to each of them--and we owe it to you!
