Team, we have a critical end-of-month fundraising deadline tonight that I’m going to need your help with [[link removed]] — there are only two more end-of-month deadlines after this one before election day, but who’s counting?

First, I want to catch you up on what I told Alex Wagner on MSNBC a couple weeks ago.

In case you missed it, Donald Trump once again showed how little regard he holds for the men and women who served in our armed forces — the patriots who sacrificed their lives to serve our nation and protect our freedoms.

Donald Trump doesn’t know anything about valor or service. He mocks those who uphold the very ideals this nation is most proud of. It’s sick.

I’m fired up again because recently he directed his ire toward Medal of Honor recipients, saying: “The Presidential Medal of Freedom… It’s the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor — it’s actually much better because everyone who gets the Congressional Medal, they’re soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead.”

Here’s what I have to say:

I am outraged. I am disgusted. Not only personally, but on behalf of those who I served with and those who I lost under my command — my fellow West Point cadets.

Donald Trump isn’t just running for president, he’s running for commander-in-chief. And Donald Trump has shown time and time again that he has no idea what it means to serve someone, or something, bigger than himself. It’s not just insulting, it’s dangerous.

Every Republican candidate on the ballot this November should be asked if they condemn Trump’s words — starting with my opponent, Alison Esposito. When we meet face-to-face for our first debate, I look forward to hearing her answer.

But team, I won’t be expecting much. Esposito was chosen to run for being a MAGA loyalist and the full weight of the GOP establishment is supporting her because they know that the outcome of this race will determine who controls the House in 2025. Just like Trump, nothing she says or does will make the GOP think twice about supporting her. All they care about is power.

That brings me to our big deadline tonight. We are very close to airing ads on TV and streaming services, and with our media market being among the most expensive in the country, every dollar makes a difference. I’ve talked about fundraising benchmarks and this deadline is our next big one – and it could make a real difference in how aggressively we can get our message to voters.

Please, pitch in $10 or more before midnight to help me win my toss-up election against Alison Esposito, and let’s flip the House blue so we can put real patriots in charge. [[link removed]]
