I want to highlight a specific part of our conversation in a moment, but before I do, I need you to know: My end-of-month fundraising deadline is in just a few hours. I’m counting on this grassroots team to meet my goal. Can you pitch in $10 before midnight to help? [[link removed]]

John, Julia was such a fun host. She gave us a pop quiz on what our state flowers are — I knew mine right off the bat, the Saguaro Blossom — and she asked us questions unique to each of our lives and styles of leadership.

During our discussion, Julia asked me if being a “super athlete” (I wouldn’t say super, but I have competed in a half Ironman Triathlon) gives me the stamina needed to get things done as Governor. Here’s what I said:

“Governing is about working together whether we have legislative majorities or not — we were elected to get things done and deliver for our constituents.

Every day, I work to do that — just like any kind of athletic training, I need to stay focused, and remind myself every day why I do what I do.”

Since day one, I’ve promised to put partisanship aside to address our state’s most pressing issues.

This has helped us make historic progress for our state — including passing a state budget that allocates millions of dollars to feed school children, building more affordable housing, and expanding affordable childcare.

Tangible results like this motivate me on the tougher days, and much like running a marathon, perseverance is a crucial part of achieving your goals.

John, another major factor in all of this is you. Members of this grassroots team helped me defeat one of the most dangerous politicians on the ballot in 2022, and this year, you’ll help us pass the abortion ballot initiative and make an even bigger positive impact on our state’s future. Can I count on your support before midnight tonight? [[link removed]]
