Hatred against Jews continues, even during this global crisis.

Dear John,

Over the last several weeks, the world has been on pause. While so many of us make sacrifices to safeguard the ones we love, there are those among us who prefer to traffic in hate as they seek to spread a different kind of virus.

We know them well. They are the antisemites, the extremists, the anti-Zionists—and they haven’t taken a leave of absence during this pandemic. But, thanks to the support of people like you, neither has AJC. [link removed]

AJC is here. And we will not be deterred. We remain laser-focused on protecting the Jewish people, defending Israel, and standing up for our most cherished values.

In this moment, AJC’s global work has taken on new urgency. As uncertainty and fear flourish, so does hatred and antisemitism, which is why we need you with us now. The power of social media is propelling hate-filled messages to eager audiences. But AJC is fighting back. Our cutting-edge digital resources, like Translate Hate in English and Mots Pour Maux in French, give people the tools they need to expose antisemitic tropes and combat extremism. And, across the Middle East, where conspiracies about Jews are prevalent, AJC’s new Arabic-language video series, ‘An al-Yahud, is providing tens of millions of Arabic speakers with accurate information about the Jewish people.

We need you to push AJC’s legislative and diplomatic advocacy forward. [link removed]

AJC’s global experts are working remotely but fervently to advance our priorities. They are regularly in touch with law enforcement authorities; interfaith and interethnic partners; government representatives; and elected officials, including members of Congress. In recent weeks, AJC has continued building strong congressional support for the NO HATE Act, an essential piece of legislation that would improve hate crime reporting in the U.S., making our communities safer. We need you to ensure that our voices will always be heard. [link removed]

At the outset of the crisis, AJC launched Advocacy Anywhere, a platform that brings AJC expertise and online content to you at home. Our programs, featuring influential leaders, have already reached more than a million viewers. Through these sessions, our community can continue engaging and advocating on our issues, keeping our cause relevant even in these trying times.

This pandemic is tragic enough. We cannot let it morph into something even more horrific—an opportunity for anti-Jewish hate to gain ground.

Please support our essential work by making a gift to AJC today. Your help is now more urgent than ever. [link removed] [link removed]

Be well and be safe.

With gratitude,

David Harris
