Something that really gets on my nerves are those spammy fundraising emails that try to scare you into donating. I’m sure you’ve seen plenty of them yourself!
They make it seem like if you don’t fork over every spare dollar you have, we’ll be automatically doomed to a MAGA takeover. It’s ridiculous — and frankly, it makes it harder for the rest of us to raise money the right way.
It’s important to me that my campaign’s emails aren’t like that. I’ll always be honest about what our fundraising goals are and what we’re spending your contributions on.
So in that spirit, without being overly dramatic, I do want to let you know that we’re currently about $4,000 behind on our email fundraising goal for August.

Falling short of one fundraising goal doesn’t mean we automatically lose — of course not! But in a close election, every single vote counts, and every dollar adds up to make a difference as we work to reach as many people as possible.
John, if you’re as ready as I am to elect Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and progressives up and down the ballot, would you donate $3 before tonight’s midnight deadline to help us catch up on our August goal?
