Together, we’re building a movement to #KeepKidsSafe across Pennsylvania this school year. I know I say that a lot but I don’t say it lightly. 

Through the end of September, we’re focusing our efforts on gun safety policies that will foster a safe and nurturing school environment for all PA kids, teachers, and school workers. We’ve created an easy way for gun safety advocates to step up and join us – by sending their lawmakers a message demanding they pass legislation requiring universal background checks, safe storage, and Extreme Risk Protection Orders.  

If you haven’t already, I’m asking you now to sign on and let your legislators know they work for you and your community – not the gun lobby. Will you take a minute to send a pre-written, but editable, message to your State Representative and Sen. Senator Nikil Saval urging them to support policies that actually keep kids safe at school?

Our power has always been in numbers. In May, we had nearly 700 advocates show up in person to lobby for gun safety at the PA Capitol in Harrisburg. Now that school is back in swing, we’ve set a goal to send 2,000 advocacy emails to legislators by the end of September. 

But, we can’t do any of this without you. Will you join our growing chorus of advocates applying maximum pressure on our lawmakers to pass gun safety legislation this session?
