Dear John,

As Americans, we’re all feeling the squeeze of the cost-of-living crisis. But
while Washington tries to shift the blame onto businesses, the real culprits
are those lawmakers who continue to push reckless spending policies. They’re
hoping we won’t notice, but we’re not falling for it.

At Americans for Prosperity, we’re committed to holding these politicians
accountable. It’s time to shine a light on those in Congress who voted for
legislation—like the ironically named Inflation Reduction Act—that’s only made
things worse by fueling government spending and driving up inflation.

This is The Torchlight, our weekly newsletter keeping you informed on how
we’re working together to reignite the American Dream.

Bob Casey is one such lawmaker who has consistently refused to be held
accountable. Although he has consistently voted for big spending bills. Not
only is he blame shifting for the cost-of-living crisis, but he still wants to
push more legislation that will increase spending even more!

Who do we hold accountable for the cost-of-living crisis?

Take Action

Hold Lawmakers Accountable

We need to raise our voices to pressure Congress to adopt sound economic
policies. As mentioned in “Budgeting for the People,” we need a comprehensive
budget reform and accountability for presidents who want to spend recklessly.

We also need to oppose lawmakers who want to impose price controls on
businesses in your area. Why should bureaucrats in Washington have the final
say on the price of goods in Florida or rural Ohio?

They act as if they want to make life more affordable for Americans. The
reality is that these out of touch politicians don’t understand the inflation
hammer families like yours have had to deal with. Instead, they mask their
quest for more control over the economy with “good intentions.”

Can you please take a moment to send a letter to your lawmakers to ask them to
support sound economic policy?
