Hi there, it’s Peggy Flanagan, Lt. Governor of Minnesota. Last week, I had the incredible honor of serving as Co-Chair of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
The energy, excitement, and joy in the arena was palpable. I couldn’t help but feel a strong sense of hope for the future of our party and our democracy!
We heard President Biden speak about how proud he is to pass the torch to Vice President Harris and my partner in justice, Governor Tim Walz. We heard how excited he is to watch them lead us into a new era for our democracy — an era free from Donald Trump and MAGA extremism.
We also heard from some of my fellow Lieutenant Governors: Austin Davis of Pennsylvania, Sara Rodriguez of Wisconsin, and Eleni Kounalakis of California. They spoke about Vice President Harris’ vision for a stronger future for all Americans — a future that leaves no one behind.
We also remembered the countless activists and leaders across generations whose courage and conviction paved the way for this very moment, reminding us that the fight for freedom always passes from one generation to the next. We owe it to them — and to ourselves — to carry their legacy forward.
It’s up to every single one of us to ensure that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s vision for America becomes a reality this November. Here at the DLGA, we’re working nonstop to make that happen, but we need your help to secure victory — not just at the top of the ticket, but for Democrats up and down the ballot. Will you chip in $7 now to support our mission?

Thank you,
Peggy Flanagan
Lt. Governor of Minnesota
