Good morning!

I’m sorry to reach out so early on a Saturday, but with our August
fundraising deadline less than 24 hours away, this update couldn’t wait:

My team just informed me that we’re not on track to reach our grassroots
fundraising goal before midnight.

Now, I’m not going to be alarmist or tell you that the sky is falling
because we’re behind. All is not lost if we come up short.

But I will tell you the truth, which is that the goals we set really do
matter in a race as expensive as ours — and missing them will have
consequences.

At a time when Republicans are outspending us on the airwaves, we may be
forced to pull down ads of our own or stop making new reservations to get
our message in front of voters.

With a new poll showing that my race is statistically tied, I’m hoping
that we won’t have to make any difficult decisions like that, and we can
keep our foot on the gas in our fight to defend this Senate seat. But to
do that, I’ll need your help.
