Gender ideology’s growing influence on our laws and institutions has sowed confusion, legal chaos, and dangerous environments for kids across the country. . Gender activists are working to redefine sex in federal laws and regulations, such as the Biden-Harris administration’s attempt to rewrite and distort Title IX to include “gender identity” as an acceptable definition of sex. The destruction of Title IX will force schools to allow males into protected female spaces, like bathrooms and locker rooms.
Thankfully, several states across the country sued to reverse the new Title IX rules <[link removed]>. Earlier this month, the Supreme Court sided with those states and kept a temporary block <[link removed]> on the changes in place in 26 states. But there’s more work to be done.
Key Vote: Defining Male and Female Act
Until recently, no precise legal definition of sex—and especially the terms “male” and “female”—was needed because no one contested the inherent differences between men and women. Unfortunately, because of gender ideology’s growing influence on our laws and institutions, Congress no longer has this luxury.
Thankfully, Representative Mary Miller (R-Ill.) has taken the initiative and introduced the Defining Male and Female Act (H.R. 9218).
H.R. 9218 will protect women and children by enshrining scientific and legally sound definitions of male and female in federal law. This bill would permanently reverse the Biden-Harris Title IX rewrite and prevent future agencies and administrations from redefining “sex” as a pliable legal category.

This legislation is simply common-sense and would be a critical bill in countering the far Left’s delusions that boys can be girls, and girls can be boys.

Legislation on China
The House is poised to take up several China-related measures when they return in September. Topics range from tightening restrictions on agriculture land purchases to Chinese drone access.
Maybe most importantly, they plan to consider legislation limiting U.S. investments into the Chinese military industrial complex. There have been several attempts by lawmakers to push this type of bill through Congress but have been stonewalled by some members with close ties to Wall Street.
This effort is pivotal to ending the unfettered cash flow <[link removed]> from U.S. investors to build up China's military.

Another Funding Deadline is Looming
Congress returns to Washington on September 9th with only three weeks until government funding expires. Since Congress has again failed to pass 12 appropriations bills, lawmakers will have to use a Continuing Resolution (CR) or an “omnibus” to avoid a government shutdown.
Year after year, lawmakers kick the can down the road until a funding crisis falls right around the holidays. Using the threat of a shutdown and their eagerness to leave D.C. for Christmas, Congress often passes massive, expensive omnibus bills that stick taxpayers with bad policies and more debt.
To avoid another lame-duck omnibus package passed under threat of a government shutdown, Congress should pass a CR to extend funding into the new year. This will save taxpayers money while Americans vote for a new administration. But budgets are not just about dollars and cents. Even more importantly, this will give the next president the opportunity to weigh in on the policy in the FY25 budget and overturn the Biden-Harris administration’s woke agenda.
Passing all 12 appropriations bills is always preferred. But, in this case, a CR will keep the engines running, take the threat of a shutdown off the table, and save taxpayers money while Americans vote for a new administration. That vote should be protected by the bipartisan SAVE Act, a bill necessary in light of the Biden-Harris border invasion and the Left’s refusal to ensure non-citizens are barred from voting in the United States.
How Would Harris Govern? We Already Know.
There is a myth out there that Vice President Harris is some sort of an enigma. That we don’t really know how she will govern. But this is far from the truth. We know how she will govern because she has been governing for more than three and a half years.
VP Harris shares in all of the failures of the Biden administration—and has continually reaffirmed her commitment to radical political ideology.

VP Harris has so many dangerously liberal l positions that it is hard to list them all, but here are some of the ones that Ryan pointed out:
- Harris opened our borders when President Biden put her in charge. She was his “Border Czar,” a fact that Democrats and the media have been trying to ignore. She’s overseeing the worst invasion in U.S. history with the total number of illegal immigrant crossings from all over the world exceeding 10 million.
- Harris promised to ban fracking, “no question.” <[link removed]> This would single-handedly put thousands of American workers out of a job and drive up energy prices all to appease climate alarmists.
- Harris favors socialized medicine. She is a vocal proponent of “Medicare for all” which would be government-run and eliminate private health insurance <[link removed]> entirely.
VP Harris knows that these positions are unpopular—and she is trying to gaslight the American public by pretending that she never took these positions in the first place.

VP Harris’ attempt to brand herself as a “moderate” is a Trojan horse. She’s lying to hide her real views. But, if she makes it to the Oval Office, she will govern as the radical she’s always been.
In fact, in a recent interview, when pressed on her flip-flopping positions Harris responded: “My values had not changed”. <[link removed]>

In Case You Missed It
On Thursday, the Supreme Court upheld a block <[link removed]> on another one of the Biden-Harris administration’s attempts to illegally transfer student loan debt. . The Biden-Harris administration has been trying to pander to voters with the promise of student loan “forgiveness,” which is really just another form of wealth redistribution since that “forgiveness” is paid for with taxpayers dollars.
