Against the backdrop of all the political drama of this summer, it can be easy to forget that Republicans in Congress continue to torpedo policies to help working Americans. If you need an example, Senate Republicans recently voted to BLOCK bipartisan pro-family legislation I voted for in the House that would expand the Child Tax Credit.
This bill was a bipartisan compromise that would cut taxes for working families and extend crucial tax breaks for companies.
My commitment to building a better future for our children and providing relief to those who need it most remains unwavering. It’s a shame that Republicans don’t share that same commitment.
