A Week in the Life of the State Chair
------------------------------------------------------------
Aloha, Fellow Republicans!
I’ve often been asked, "What does a typical week look like for a State Chair in this volunteer role?" Since this newsletter is arriving at the end of the week, I thought it would be the perfect time to give you an overview of what this past week entailed. Every week is different, but never a dull moment, and always non stop which keeps my calendar full.
This week was filled with a whirlwind of activities aimed at pushing our party forward. I started by attending meetings with the Bob McDermott team, where we met with various key people throughout the states to share feedback and ideas. I also dedicated time to social media postings and the creation of promotional items that will help spread our message and look to further expand our reach.
One of my tasks this week was writing six scripts for radio ads targeting Kauai, Oahu, and Maui. I will be working next on East and West Hawaii. After that, I flew to Oahu to record these ads. While on Oahu, I had the honor of attending and speaking at a town hall, where multiple districts were in attendance. Mahalo to Kuka Broussard for organizing a wonderful event and bringing members, community and candidates together. It was great to see the Convention of States in attendance and hearing Mark White speak about the status of COS and all the efforts being put in locally and nationally. It's always great to connect with our members and hear thoughts, concerns, and how people can get involved to find solutions.
Each day, I handle between 50 to 100 emails, even after clearing out spam and ads. I also attended an Office of Elections 5 hour meeting where I testified with many others who spoke passionately on their concerns with the primary election, the future of the election and how Scott Nago and Mr. Curtis need to improve in their roles or to step down. In between all these, I addressed various issues, concerns, troubleshooting, fielding internal conflicts, participated in Zoom meetings, and worked on designing and ordering signs to get to the Counties.
This week also saw me working closely with our new Treasurer, Dave Beuhler. Dave comes to us with over 20 years of banking experience and is already making strides in getting our financial systems organized. I am looking forward to him helping us champion the much needed and overdue audit of the party. I’m pleased to report that with the assistance of past Treasurers Mary Smart and Michael Jauch, Dave successfully submitted his first CSC report on time. Dave also flew over from the Big Island, and we also worked together, alongside Sheryl Bieler and our helper Jesse, to consolidate our storage units in Oahu, a move that will save us on monthly expenses.
Please join me in welcoming Dave to the team—his expertise is invaluable, and we’re lucky to have him as we continue to strengthen our party.
As always, generally my days often extend from 7 AM until 9 or 10 PM, particularly as I coordinate with various time zones. There’s so much more that goes into a week, but this gives you a glimpse into the dedication and time needed to be invested into our party. There is a lot of work that has needed to be done and there is still a lot more to be done.
We have several events coming up throughout the state, and I encourage each of you to participate. We need your involvement at the grassroots level to continue our momentum. Additionally, there are many open slots for precinct presidents across the state. If you're interested in stepping up, please email me at

Lastly, mark your calendars—the 2025 State Convention will be held on Kauai on May 24-25. We need every one of you to be part of this pivotal event. Please contact your County chairs to see how you can get involved to attend this event. Delegates will vote on rules and New State positions, including the State Chair. It will take place at the Kauai Memorial Convention Hall.

which constrains them to alter their former
Systems of Government. The History of the
present King of Great Britain is a History of
repeated Injuries and Usurpations, all having
in direct Object the Establishment of an
absolute Tyranny over these States.
