I’m headed back to Washington, D.C. next week, and I wanted to explain why you may not hear from me for a couple months.

For 60 days leading up to an election, Members of Congress can’t send official communications – including newsletters, texts, and calls – to constituents unless they specifically opt-in to receive messages. This is called the “blackout period."
