Lowe’s the Latest to Abandon DEI: ‘Divisive Issues Don’t Belong in the Workplace’
A rising number of U.S. companies are publicly backing away from controversial, progressive policies like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), including Harley-Davidson, Tractor Supply Co., and most recently Lowe’s.
The announcement that Lowe’s pulled back from its DEI initiatives came from Robby Starbuck, the conservative activist known for exposing radical leftist agendas. “Big news,” he posted on X. “I messaged Lowes executives last week to let them know that I planned to expose their woke policies. This morning, I woke up to an email where they preemptively made big changes.”
His post went on to thank his supporters for helping him move these companies to make these changes. He wrote, “We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose. We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America.” In response, many commented their excitement at the recent news. One user stated, “Well done. The dam is cracked, leaking and about to give way. Keep it up.” Another posted, “Thanks for exposing this! We shop where people are friendly to our values!”
As Starbuck went on to explain, there are a number of changes Lowe’s announced they would implement: “No more donations to pride events or other divisive events,” “ending [employee resource group] ERG … in favor of one large unifying ERG group for all employees, no longer designed to focus on race or sexual orientation,” and “ending participation in the [Human Rights Campaign] HRC’s woke Corporate Equality Index social credit system.”
Royal Caribbean Worker Gets 30 Years In Prison After Filming Kids Undressing And Showering
Warning: the following article reports on a sexual abuse story that may be disturbing to some readers. Parental advisory is advised for minors.
A Royal Caribbean cruise ship employee has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after secretly filming young kids undressing.
On Wednesday, 34-year-old Arvin Joseph Mirasol was sentenced to 30 years behind bars after pleading guilty to producing child sexual abuse material, including from children as young as 2-years-old.
The Philippine national would plant hidden cameras in guest cabins and hide under beds to record kids getting out of the shower.
On February 25th, Mirasol was detained on the Symphony of the Seas ship after a girl found a camera “affixed to the counter underneath the sink” one day after the cruise ship set sail from Southern Florida.
After the ship returned to Port Everglades in March, he was fired and arrested on state charges.
When Mirasol admitted to spying on young girls since December of 2023, when he started working on the ship, he claimed that he wanted to “control it but [he] can’t.”
Investigators said that the 34-year-old’s devices contained numerous videos of children in various stages of being undressed. He would disturbingly zoom in on the child’s genitals.
In one of the videos that investigator’s found, Mirasol is seen installing a camera in a guest’s bathroom.
According to a federal criminal complaint, one of the videos showed a 10-year-old girl undressing and showering with her genitals “clearly visible” and they were “the focus of the video.”
Texas School District Adopts Policy Requiring Teachers to Use Pronouns Based on Students’ Biological Sex
The Keller Independent School District in Texas has adopted a new policy requiring teachers to use pronouns that align with a student’s biological sex, as listed on their birth certificate, rather than their “gender identity.”
Under the new policy, educators are now mandated to address students according to the sex indicated on their birth certificate, even if a student requests the use of different pronouns. The district’s school board approved this change on Thursday and plans to inform parents about the policy. If parents wish for their child to be referred to by a different name or pronoun, they must submit a written request to the school.
The board approved the policy unanimously, despite facing backlash. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sent a letter to the district, urging them not to approve the policy, calling it discriminatory. During a public comment session at a board meeting, several students and parents criticized the new policy, according to Fox News.
“You’ve created an environment where fear and isolation might just become the norm for our most vulnerable students. I hope this brings you the kind of community you’re striving for, one where conformity is valued over compassion. Hate is not a Keller ISD value,” one student claimed.
