John,

You’ve probably heard the news, but I wanted to write you a note as well.

This morning Mike Kelly announced that he will retire from Parliament after a career of service to our nation.

Mike has faced health challenges – a consequence of his military service overseas. It’s that spirit of service that has guided him his entire life, from serving our nation in uniform to serving our nation in Parliament.

We owe Mike a debt of gratitude that we can never repay.

Will you join me and everyone in the Labor family by adding your name and thanking Mike for his career of service?

Mike’s a true believer. He’s a passionate fighter for veterans, for rural and regional Australia, and for our movement.

I know our whole Labor family wishes Mike, Rachelle and their family all the best for the future.
