The funding is part of the second round of the Welcome Home Ohio program, and completes the awards for grant applications received for state fiscal year 2024. In total, $100 million is available through the program for grants to help landbanks purchase, rehabilitate, or build qualifying residential properties for income-eligible Ohioans. Additionally, $25 million in nonrefundable tax credits remains available to landbanks and eligible developers for rehab and new construction projects once a property is sold.
“As more and more companies look to expand in Ohio or put down new roots here, we must have quality, affordable housing available,” said Governor DeWine. “Through this program, we’re helping local communities prepare for the future, and we’re ensuring that more families have the opportunity to thrive in the heart of it all.”
