Last week, when Kamala Harris closed out the Democratic National Convention, she shared a message of strength and hope – and she reminded us all that we can’t go back.

The Vice President is up against a far-right extremist whose message of hatred and division is dangerous for our future. But not only is the White House on the line; North Carolina is also facing a choice between a far-right extremist and me – a race which NBC has called “the biggest governor's race of 2024.”

John, North Carolina is a great place to live – but extremist Republicans are plotting to drag us backward. Far-right policies targeting vulnerable communities will endanger our friends, family, and neighbors, imperil our economic growth, and threaten our future.

My radical, Trump-endorsed opponent Mark Robinson, one of the most extreme statewide elected officials in the country, will attack reproductive health care access, voting rights, and other freedoms – and the national GOP is all in for his campaign. They see North Carolina as their best chance to pick up a Governor’s Office and are already on the air spending millions and millions attacking me.

It’s clear: from the White House to the North Carolina governor’s office, our freedoms are on the line.

In November, folks will have the chance to choose between extremism and progress at every level of the ballot, but it’s going to take everyone working together to keep North Carolina AND the country blue. That’s why I’m reaching out to you personally.
