John,
One month ago today, we launched this campaign for Mayor of New York City — and you’ve made it a great month since then.
Over 1,200 of you have contributed to help us out of the gate (more than half first-time donors). And many more have told me how much you like our launch video — and our vision for a more affordable, better-run New York.
And John, I couldn’t be more grateful for your support. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Today, I wanted to share this article published this week in The Atlantic, if you haven’t seen it already.
You can read the full article here, but here’s an excerpt that sums up Noach Schactman’s argument.
John, nothing can replace New York City.
But we can replace a leader when they fail the basic tests of the job: To be honest with us, to keep our families safe, to do everything possible to make sure housing is affordable, to ensure our kids get the best education, and turn that New York grind into effective action.
It’s time for strong, experienced leadership that delivers real results for New Yorkers.
Put another way: I promise to be your anti-chaos mayor.
To help our city move forward toward the goals we share — a safer, more affordable, more livable, better-run city for all New Yorkers — with a lot less drama.
If that sounds good to you, can you help us hit our campaign’s first end-of-month goal? Will you add a contribution to help us get the strongest possible start?

Thank you,
Brad
