Alternatives To Incarceration Report Vote
On March 10, the LA County Board of Supervisors voted to accept the Los Angeles County Alternatives to Incarceration report that adopts a “Care First, Jails Last” approach to justice reform and public safety.

Dignity & Power Now and JusticeLA, along with community organizers and advocates – including County representatives, members of academia, and formerly incarcerated people, detailed a Roadmap of 114 recommendations that can be used to transform LA County’s criminal justice system.

Community Highlights
Black Maternal Health Expo
February's Black Maternal Health Expo, held in Palmdale, amplified the voices of Black mothers and the values and traditions of the reproductive and birth justice movements. DPN was on hand to provide holistic and wellness healings.

Dignity and Power Now's mission is to build a Black and Brown led abolitionist movement rooted in community power towards the goal of achieving transformative justice and healing justice for all incarcerated people, their families, and communities.

Our work and programming are grounded in the principles of abolition, healing justice, and transformative justice.

Donations from our community, go towards programming, campaigns, health & wellness and providing direct support to community members through stipends and item donations.
