HELP US REGISTER LATINO VOTERS!

Voto Latino recently conducted a poll and some focus groups amongst Latino voters, and the results made us hopeful about the upcoming election. 

Here are some of our most important findings: 

• Our results show a major jump in support for the Democratic ticket since April – from 47% for President Joe Biden to now 60% for Vice President Kamala Harris. Over the same period, former President Donald Trump’s support fell 5 percentage points, as did that for third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr!

• For Latinos living in battleground states, Harris is tracking as well or better than Biden performed in 2020 — and tracking significantly better than Biden in April of this year.

• Among those polled, Harris is trusted to do a better job on economy and inflation. This issue was the highest rated among Latino voters we previously polled in the spring. 

• In our focus groups, more than half of young Latinos who previously said they would vote for a third party said they would switch to the Democratic Party after Biden dropped out.

We need to build on this momentum, John. Latino voters across the country are getting behind the Harris/Walz tickets, and it’s our job to get them to the polls this November.
