ACLU Supporter, our 2024 election policy memo series is officially complete: the final memos in the series map out the opportunities and challenges we'll face in the fight for our rights should Vice President Kamala Harris be elected president this November.
As we did earlier this summer for Trump's presidential platform, our experts have now broken down Harris' pledges from the campaign trail, as well as her record in public office, to analyze what a Harris presidency would hold. If elected, we have the plan to hold her accountable to her commitments to expand our rights, while advocating for more progress at every level.
Check out our latest memos, including:
- Harris on Immigration – which pushes back against the Biden administration's harmful asylum policies and sets forth the ACLU's plan to hold Harris accountable for expanding protections for longtime residents and a humane approach to the border
- Harris on Surveillance – which dives into the ACLU's work urging Harris to protect us all from government surveillance and to create stronger privacy standards and safeguards
- Harris on the Criminal Legal System – which describes our plan to push Harris to bring accountability, fairness, and humanity into our legal system by ending mass incarceration, stopping police brutality, and abolishing the death penalty
ACLU Supporter, thank you for all you've done to help us meet this moment. With you by our side, we're ready to take on this crucial work for our rights – regardless of who wins the White House this November.
With thanks for all you do,
The ACLU Team
