This is a picture of my mom and my three sisters watching me speak at the DNC.

My immigrant mother raised the four of us on a secretary’s salary. I worked any job I could get to support the family. I slept on the floor, on the couch, on a roll-out mattress. I believed it when I was a kid, and I believe it now: Anything is possible in the United States of America.
