Students across New Jersey went back to school this week. 🎒✏️

Governor Murphy has been working to ensure all these students have access to a world-class education and resources that allow them to succeed beyond high school.

Expanding educational opportunities for New Jersey’s students will help them thrive and hopefully do better than their parents — allowing them to ultimately achieve the American Dream , which for so long has been out of reach for too many.

This year, the Murphy Administration made the single-largest investment into education in our state’s history. The state’s school funding formula will be fully funded for the first time ever.

We’ve added almost a billion dollars in direct aid for K-12 schools, over $120 million to advance the goal of universal pre-K, and are making new investments in higher education.

We’re also allocating an additional $30 million to provide free school lunches to combat child hunger.
