Congressman Andy Kim for U.S. Senate (New Jersey) will be the first Korean American in the U.S. Senate and first AANHPI senator from the East Coast.
Angela Alsobrooks for U.S. Senate (Maryland) will be the first Black woman to represent Maryland in the U.S. Senate.
Derek Tran for California’s 45th Congressional District will be the first Vietnamese American to represent the largest concentration of Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam.
Lanon Baccam for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District will be the first person of color to represent Iowa in Congress.
Dave Min for California’s 47th Congressional District will be the first Korean American to represent this district.
