$44 — that's the average email donation of this campaign. And it's a number I'm proud of.
See, Bob isn't accepting campaign donations from corporate PACs or large corporations. He's committed to being a governor for Washingtonians, not special interests. And that starts with this campaign.
Of course, smaller donations mean we have to ask more people to pitch in to the campaign. But it's worth it!
Bob could have fundraised the easy way: Calling corporate PACs and asking them for max-out donations (that's $4,800 here in Washington).
But that's not who Bob is.
As Attorney General, he forced the companies that fueled the opioid epidemic to pay more than $1 billion to address the harm they caused. He took on polluters and scam artists. Most importantly (at least for this email), he secured record penalties to combat dark money in politics.
That's the type of governor Washington deserves.
