Your Input Needed: Parks Master Plan

In a recent survey, residents shared some great ideas for Parks and Recreation improvements in our community. Now, we need to determine which ideas are feasible and how they could be funded. These include:

* Added recreation programming
* Indoor gathering space
* Improvements to park accessibility
* The development of a new park

Please share your opinion on which, if any, of these projects should be funded as part of the 15-year Parks Master Plan, with a quick 5-question survey!

Volunteer Opportunity: Marie Park Tree Planting

Come to Marie Park, 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, to assist The Natural Resources Commission and City Staff with planting native trees at Marie Park. The event is part of a tree planting and educational demonstration project. Help to replace dead and dying ash trees, as well as restore and diversify the urban tree canopy in Mendota Heights. Meet in the parking lot next to the tennis courts to join in the fun!

*Volunteers should wear appropriate attire, including gardening gloves, closed-toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Please ensure anything you wear or bring with you has been cleaned to prevent the spread of invasive species. Shovels and other tools will be provided.
