As we slowly come out of lockdown, it’s crucial for us to seize this moment to solve the problem the pandemic has laid bare. The housing crisis. Climate change. The growing gap between the rich and the poor. COVID-19 has revealed the fault lines underlying our society.

But here’s the good part: We have a plan to fix things. Now we just need your help in bringing that plan to action. 

At its root, the crisis we face today is a product of a political system that ignores the cries of voices invisible to it. The pangolin in a wet market cage might not seem relevant to powerful politicians. The homeless person coughing on the street might have been previously pitied, not helped. But their cries of pain are now reverberating around the world. And while we will eventually recover from COVID-19, we won’t recover from a political system that ignores the most vulnerable. 

I need your help to make that happen. Our campaign is about to start mobilizing a historic grassroots effort in Berkeley. We aim to staff 12,000 volunteer shifts between now and November 3, to knock on doors, make phone calls, and do outreach on social media. If we do that, we will win. But to do that, we need your help.
