** Mike and Maureen Go to Chicago
------------------------------------------------------------
Teton Dems Maureen Barry and State Representative Mike Yin were among Wyoming's 17 delegates to the Democratic National Convention and returned to Jackson full of energy and enthusiasm What follows is Mike's report on the convention that sums up the joys of the convention, as well as warnings about extremism and the hard work ahead in Wyoming.

The Good News
[link removed]
------------------------------------------------------------

We’re back from the Democratic National Convention, and I’m proud to report that Wyoming Democrats made their mark! Did you catch us during the roll call ([link removed]) ? Our delegation was amazing, and I couldn’t be prouder to represent our great state.

The energy at the convention was incredible, and our delegation spent the week building strong connections with fellow Democrats from across the country and even abroad. I look forward to having these relationships open doors and create opportunities for Wyoming’s future. I hope we made you proud to be a Wyoming Democrat!

Thanks to your support, many of our younger delegates were able to attend the convention. Their energy, enthusiasm, and new insights will be essential as we work to mobilize Democrats across Wyoming and build momentum for the future.

** The Bad News
------------------------------------------------------------

However, while we were convening in Chicago, there was bad news back home. On Tuesday, the extremist wing of the Wyoming Republican Party tightened its grip during the primaries. These are folks who are not focused on solving Wyoming’s issues – like keeping young people in our state, keeping our communities strong, and preserving Wyoming’s public lands.

We have a chance to push back. There are districts where we can defeat these extremists in the general election by electing Democrats who are committed to fighting for their communities—not following the orders of right-wing ideologues that don’t even live in Wyoming.

** Do Something
------------------------------------------------------------
Harris/Walz - We need to harness the great energy of last week's convention. Pleaselet us know (mailto:[email protected]) if you are willing to host postcard writing events, or would like to do phone banking. Also, Harris/Walz yard signs will be available soon and we will try to organize distribution (would love someone to take this on). There are people interested in going to Nevada to help with GOTV efforts there.

Closer to home - There are great Dems running against Freedom Caucus extremists. They need volunteers to help with GOTV, phone calls, canvassing, mailings. Of course, they welcome financial support as well. You can see the candidates with their websites and donation links here: [link removed].

Some of these candidates will be coming to Teton County and we will keep you apprised (It's also a good idea to follow us on Instagram and/or Facebook.) The first one is in two weeks:
