Team —

You know what time of the month it is. If your inbox is anything like ours, it’s full of emails like this one. And you probably know what’s coming next.

But please, if you have a moment, give us a chance to explain why this request from Ruben Gallego’s campaign for U.S. Senate is so important.

Here’s the truth:

When Ruben launched this campaign it was to listen to the people of Arizona, hear their concerns, and take back a critical seat in the U.S. Senate to deliver on their behalf.

That kind of approach might not sound controversial, but it’s really upsetting the MAGA right.

Kari Lake’s been attacking Ruben virtually every day since she entered this race. Trump just called Ruben out by name at a rally in Phoenix last week. And we just learned that a dark money Super PAC fired off $8.25 million in attack ads against Ruben across Arizona.

Make no mistake: That’s a huge buy. One of the largest of the campaign. So, with our end-of-month deadline coming up, we’re asking you to contribute $5 to fight back.

$5 doesn’t sound like the kind of money that can beat multi-million dollar ad campaigns like that, but by the time you’ve gotten to this point in the email, someone else added their $5. And they’re hoping you do the same.

It all adds up, and that’s how we win: together. That is why we are asking you:

Can you please make a $5 contribution to our campaign before this critical end-of-month fundraising deadline hits on Saturday night? We’ll put your donation right to work in critical programs we need to win this campaign.

Thank you in advance for chipping in.

It means more than you might expect to our chances this November.
